Tirumangalam is a town and municipality in the Madurai District of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu also called as Thunga Nagarathin Thunai Nagaram (Sub District of Madurai). The area of the municipality is 10.70 km2, and it contains 27 wards. The main functions of the municipality are to provide basic amenities and implement development.
