About Kolaghat
Kolaghat is a census town in Kolaghat CD Block, Tamluk subdivision of the Purba Medinipur district in the state of West Bengal, India. Kolaghat is located at 22.43°N 87.87°E. It is located in the Panskura–II community development block of the Tamluk subdivision. Kolaghat is well connected by road through NH-116 and NH-6 (namely Bombay road). The Kolaghat Bridge (Namely Sarat Setu) is the only bridge which connects South India. Bengali is the main language here. Places of worship include Kolaghat Jain Temple, Shitala Temple in Old Bazar, Mosque, Gopalnagar and Vrindavan Temple.
