About Burhanpur
Burhanpur is a mid-sized historical city in the Nimar region of Madhya Pradesh state, India. It is the administrative seat of Burhanpur District. It is situated on the north bank of the Tapti River, 340 kilometres (211 mi) southwest of Bhopal and 540 kilometres (336 mi) northeast of Mumbai. The city has a Municipal Corporation, and is also one of the district headquarters of the state of Madhya Pradesh.
