The auspicious occasion of Eid comes twice a year. While Eid-ul-Fitr is observed on the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal, Eid-ul-Doha comes later in the year on the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah. Eid-ul-Fitr celebrates the breaking of the month-long fasting schedule of Ramadan that is done by Muslims worldwide. On this day Muslim’s have a grand feast, indulge in merriment and also exchange gifts. In 2017, it was held on the 25th of June. Eid-ul-Doha was celebrated on the 1st of September in the same year.
