Personalised Gifts on Valentine’s Day : Amer

"Oh! little loveliest lady mine, What shall I send for your valentine? Summer and flowers are far away; Gloomy old Winter is king to-day; Buds will not blow, and sun will not shine: What shall I do for a valentine? I ’ve searched the gardens all through and through For a bud to tell of my love so true; But buds are asleep, and blossoms are dead And the snow beats down on my poor little head." - Laura Elizabeth Richards

About Amer

About

Amer, also called Amber, former town, east-central Rajasthan state, northwestern India. Amer is now part of the Jaipur urban agglomeration. It is noted for its Amer (or Amber) Palace (also called Amer Fort), which is part of several other Rajput fortresses that collectively were designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2013. Its name is derived from Ambarisha, the king of Ayodhya; its full name was Ambarikhanera, but that was later contracted to Ambiner or Amber. The official name, however, is Amer. Amer is named for its 16th-century fort, a dramatic hilltop stronghold overlooking Jaipur. Often called the Amber Palace, the fort features a hall with intricate mirror mosaics and a Ganesh icon carved from coral. Nearby landmarks include the geometric Panna Meena ka Kund stepwell and Jagat Shiromani, a Hindu temple with a striking statue of goddess Kali.
