Gifts to India

Many greetings for the New Year. We have implemented a new deisgn for our website this year. The changes have been made after assessing the requests that we have received from our clients. We are sure that the changes will make sending gifts to India a much easier process. The changes are small but very meaningful. We really hope that this will make the process of selecting and sending gifts to India an easy process. In this write up we will be covering three changes - the next three will be described in the next write up.

Gifts Tab - On the Index page we have placed a new gifts tab which has the four most commonly used categories listed. These categories will list the most frequently sent gifts to India. Going by history, over 90% of the gifts are sent from the selected gifts.

Best Sellers Tab - The best sellers tab on the index page has four distinct section, where 4 gifts will be displayed. This is an automated system which calculates the most selling gifts. The section are Yesterday's Best Sellers, Weekly Best Sellers, Fortnight Best Sellers and Month Best Sellers.

Occasion Gifts Tab - Similar to the Gifts Tab, this tab will be changed as per the occasions that are coming up. It will contain the most frequently sent gifts to India for that occasion. When no occasion are at hand, common occasions like Birthdays, Anniversaries etc will be displayed.

Your suggestions are welcome for the same. I hope the user-oriented changes that we have made will make sending gifts to India an easier process.

I take great pride in announcing our latest feature. This will make selection of multiple gifts an easier and more appropriate. This feature is aptly called "also bought" and can be found on the cart page of the website. It is a very simple feature but extremely effective tool that has been developed after serious deliberation.

Similar features have been there on many other websites. So how does our feature is different. Firstly, we have developed this feature keeping in mind what our customers require. It is automated, but with a human touch. Combinations are not only selected through an automated process, but also through manual screening. Secondly, the automated calculations are based on what the customers have ordered in the past. Thus the selection shows the actual gifts that the users have ordered together. Thirdly, it shows the most matchable gifts for the gifts already selected. Gifts shown on the panel are definitely the most apt together. Fourthly, the data shown is in real-time. The algorithm ensures that as and when the user behaviour changes the correct corresponding gifts are shown.
 
This feature has multiple benefits for our customers. Firstly, it will ensure that you can create a hamper for yourself which is most popular amongst our clients. Secondly, it will show the most fitting gifts that go together. Thirdly, it will save a lot of time in selecting your gifts. Once you select one gift, the rest can be selected without browsing to another page. 

I hope this feature will make sending gifts to India a more pleasurable one. 

Christmas is just round the corner and we are gearing up for a grand season. Our efforts for chistmas can be seen on our website. We have dedicated a page to christmas gifts to India and we are sure that this will be appreciated by one and all. As time passes, we are getting much better when it comes to equippin ourselves for upcoming occasions. We prepare ourselves well in advance for the occasion and present to our customers the most relevant and befitting gifts that they can send to India on Christmas.

This year we have a complete Christmas treat. To start with we have Christmas Candles, without which Christmas is incomplete. Our candles collection features designer as well as aroma candles and candle sets. We also have a dedicated Christmas Gifts section which has gifts like a Singing Santa Doll, Statuettes of Lord Jesus and Mother Mary, Chocolates, Cakes, Christmas Wreaths and more that can be sent to India.

This year we have a new section of Christmas Stars. A collection of different types of stars and assortments have been selected. We also have a Christmas tree section which you can use to send a tree to our niece or nephew in India. Our christmas hamper section has the best collection of gifts put together to save time and money. Our chocolate section for christmas is a complete delight. We offer 100% hand made chocolates in the shape of flowers, hearts or stars. There is complete section for Chrismas Chocolates and Cookies.

Diwali is an occasion to spread happiness, spread festivity and wishing each others well being. Every year Diwali comes to renew our spirits, to fill our life with light, to brighten up the environment. As far as the festivities are concerned, they improve with every passing year. Though we find the same routine of sending SMSes, having social visits and partying with friends, family and relatives, there has been tremendous changes with the advancement in technology.
 
In the past few years, the gifts given for Diwali have gone into a complete metamorphosis. Gifts Ideas for Diwali also has changed. Gone are the days when children were gifted chocolates, cars or board games. Today the demand is PSPs, XBoxes, DVD Games, Laptops, Mp3 players etc. The celebrations are changing fast, but the underlying tone of being happy and making others happy will always remain the same.
 
For us, we celebrate it a little differently; by helping our customers to send their gifts to their loved ones in India. Though it is our business, our entire team enjoys working on such occasions for our clients. Be it the Customer Care, Back-Office, Delivery Boys; all enjoy the festive atmosphere associated with gifts and its delivery. Though the pressure does sometimes get onto us, but we literally put our heart into our business. Quality and Service is our prime concern. We have gone through a lot of changes in process and operations to ensure that we provide to our NRI clients with an interface that will improve their confidence in us.
 
Following are the developments that we are planning to undertake
 
1. 100% Secure Payment Gateway to send Gifts to India - We have been working on upgrading of our payment gateway, to ensure 100% safe transactions.
2. Live Customer Support - We are working on a live chat service, which will be launched in the next week which would make our Customer Care much more customer oriented.
3. Personalised Gifts - We are coming up with a new range of personalised gifts that you can send to India and will include custom made Cups, Mugs, Mouse Pads, Photo Frames etc.
4. 24 hour Customer Support - We are planning to have 24 Hour Live Customer Support on Phone as well as on Chat. This should be implemented in the next month.
5. Gifts4U - By January we plan to have an exclusive business division that will cater only to Big Ticket Gifting services, where we will offer anything you desire; but definitely for a price.
